It's mid a February and Sarah and I have had several digging sessions to get the beds ready.
Some stuff has survived the snow and cold, amazingly the coriandar is OK, well just, but alive and sprouting. The broad beans are sparse, so much for planting in autumn, rhubarb coming on, so looking good so far.
Have to do a plan for 2011 planting then get the seeds going.Rollon many good warm days.
Roll on spring, indeed! Doesn't it feel good to get in the dirt again? It will be April before I can; Illinois soil doesn't even begin to warm up before then.
ReplyDeleteI really like your background for this page. Did you do it yourself or find it?
Hi, still a bit cold to spend too much time outside, my hands & feet get really cold, I spent 3 years at Lackham doing courses left in 2007, so you wouldn't have known then went on to Gloucester uni to do a degree, bit late in life but enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteAnd the background is on blogger, don't think it was there when I started this though.
I am so envious of beaches & shells & sand dollers, you are so lucky to be able to do such amazing trips.
